I saw Jay's comment and I'll suggest the same to you while I try to sort this out... I think it's a memory problem. I suggested to Jay that if wouldn't mind trying this, it could help others for now... try turning off your device, then powering it back up and immediately going to play a game in non-Round Robin mode.

Also, let me know what animation speed (i.e. is FAST ANIMATION checked in Settings?).. and try the other speed.

LMK if that helps.

i Also. can’t actually see the game play out anymore. I get the top half of the screen (the ballpark surroundings) but I get only a big white block where the game used to be. . .where the pitcher/batter was, just like jaywigley

Here's what I'm seeing:
Using the phone (EDGE) connection, I had to try five times before it would allow me to download the 1941 season. I did not try another one. But it did work, I just had to keep trying.

However, I find the round robin to not work properly. It simulates games between leagues instead of within a league only. For example, the Yankees and the Dodgers would play each other. . .not expected. There needs to be a way to define the schedule just like there was in EWB2.

I am using the wireless connection on my Ipod Touch. One of two things happen - I get a message that the server is not responding or it kicks me back to the league selection page. The wireless connection loads Safari just fine, Facebook just fine, Amazon Kindle, I can download apps, etc.
