Submitting v1.0.4 this week!

Finally!!!  This was much more time consuming than I thought.

The main new feature is the ability to download stats files into the App.  Folks can create stats files using Earl Weaver Baseball II (yes, it still works!) or igiBall (found at www.bangbangplay.com … while it is shareware, the ability to create league files is in the free part).

If you want to submit created files, send me an email and I’ll arrange it.  We’re working on an automated system, but that may take a bit of time.  NOTE: be sure to create a schedule for your league files as scheduled play is coming in the next release.

Other things fixed include the Fast Animation setting on slower devices and many fixes to managing memory  in the App (which could easily have caused some of the crashes we’ve been seeing)

Will we be able to select one team to use for a whole season with this update?

I’ve tried to make this work for this release, but have hit some snags.. I’ll keep at it, but am not sure I’ll pull it off.. the rest of the release is ready to go and I don’t want to hold it up any longer than I have already.

    Will keep you posted.

  • Oh man, Eddie… here’s what I’m planning to do. 🙂

When I played EWB for the first time, I made a custom team of my friends to play against the All Time Greats. I’d love to do that again for old time’s sake. Does this mean I’ll need to make my “league of friends” publicly available so I can download it within the game? While I have no problem doing that, I’d hate to clutter up the “real” league stat files with my trip down memory lane.

    Thanks!

Please ensure that these user created files are anti-virus free. No one would want to have their iPhone accidentally affected by a hidden virus within a downloaded league file originating from unprotected user computer. And unfortunately I don’t know of any AV software yet to protect my iPhone.
